Cabinet Approves Two Draft Laws

PHNOM PENH: Two draft laws in the Kingdom of Cambodia have been approved during the cabinet meeting on Thursday morning. The draft laws are to amend the Law on Commercial Enterprises and the Law on Commercial Rules and Registration. It is aimed to further boos the country’s trade sector.

According to the Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit Phay Siphan, the cabinet meeting which was headed by Prime Minister Hun Sen will promote the doing business in Cambodia, ensure the consistency, transparency with the laws and obligations of Cambodia under international conventions, treaties or agreements, and better prepare for economic recovery after the COVID-19 crisis.

The draft laws were endorsed in the weekly cab plenary session held at the Peace Palace under the presidency of the Prime Minister.
